Local authorities can benefit from subsidies to install solar panels and heat pumps in their buildings until 7 May 2024. Projects which are eligible for subsidies are for the use of renewable energy sources for on-grid production of electricity for self-consumption and energy efficient central heating systems. The application include the installation of solar power plants with a capacity of up to 999 kW and boilers and furnaces with a capacity of up to 500 kW.

EcoFund aims to boost the use of renewable energy, encourage the application of energy efficiency measures, and reduce CO2 emissions. Moreover, the goal of using on-grid PV systems increases energy efficiency, self-sufficiency, and the security of supply.
