Nordic countries are working together to boost data gathering for LCA for buildings

Editorial Team

Nordic countries are joining forces on gathering data on normative Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for buildings into comparable methods and practices. This would ensure comparability and interoperability across various LCA tools, interfaces and services.

The project is led by the Finnish Environmental Institute (SYKE), the Natural Resource Institute Finland (LUKE) and the Swedish Environmental Research Institute (IVL). It represents just one out of the four tasks Nordic Harmonisation of LCA works with, and it has an important role to boost the decarbonisation of the building stock.
