The PLURAL project successfully performed fire testing of the innovative smart window with heat harvesting capacity: The research tests were performed at the NTUA premises with the presence of BG Tec, the window developer, and AMS, the SmartWall prefabricated kit manufacturer that integrates the smart window.

The results highlighted the effect of ventilation and specific materials on the overall fire performance of smart windows. A short course on fire testing was given prior to the tests and familiarized the attendants with the testing procedures and classification requirements.
