The Climate Group, along with partners CBRE, Danfoss, ROCKWOOL, Signify, and VELUX, has launched the ´Renovation Revolution´ initiative to boost renovation rates across the European Union. With Europe aiming for net-zero emissions by 2050, the initiative seeks to increase energy efficiency in buildings.

Currently, EU renovation rates are at 1% annually, far below the needed 2.5% to reach net-zero by 2030. Existing technologies can reduce industry emissions by over 50% by 2030, but urgent action is needed. Research suggests employing low-emissions materials and reusing components to enhance energy efficiency. The initiative aims to mobilise governments, corporates, and communities to revolutionise renovation efforts.
