Nigerian Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, advocated for the adoption of green, sustainable, and climate-smart housing technologies at the 2024 Archibuilt Exposition in Abuja. He emphasised the importance of innovation in addressing Nigeria’s housing challenges, urging architects to seek sustainable and inclusive urban designs

Dangiwa highlighted architects' role in achieving SDG-11 for sustainable cities and communities, calling for environmentally friendly, equitable urban ecosystems. He also raised concerns over rapid rural-urban migration and population growth, stressing the need for sustainable infrastructure to accommodate Nigeria’s projected population of over 400 million by 2050.
