The Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar has launched its nZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) training centre in Zagreb, Croatia, marking a significant step towards energy-efficient buildings and smart technologies.
The institute’s building, now a nearly zero-energy structure, has undergone major renovations, including a 50 kW photovoltaic plant that covers 30% of energy needs and a 65% reduction in heating and cooling costs.
The project, funded by EUR 1.6 million in grants, aims for a zero-emissions building by 2030.
The training centre will foster education on green transition technologies and support the development of energy-efficient building standards in Croatia.
