2050 will be the year to achieve the goal of zero-emission buildings, this is what the directive adopted by the European council determines.

Specifically, by 2030 all new buildings will be zero-emission, and then the criterion will be extended to the entire building stock by 2050.

As for non-residential buildings, these will be phased out according to minimum performance standards.
