The construction industry has a significant environmental footprint. It is a substantial contributor of greenhouse gas emissions. These harmful emissions can be minimised by optimising the use of environmentally-conscious construction resources. 

The EU-funded Build-in-Wood project will develop a sustainable and innovative wood value chain for the construction of multi-storey wood buildings. It will develop the materials and components as well as structural systems and façade elements for multi-storey wood buildings for both new construction and retrofitting applications.
