The Paris Agreement’s goal of reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 is critical in preventing further devastating impacts of climate change. Despite this, current policies have been insufficient in achieving this target, with member countries lacking concrete plans to reach it. 

The EU funded ELEVATE project will bring together a crucial multidisciplinary team of climate policy experts, social scientists and modeling teams to gain an accurate understanding of the development of effective nationally determined contributions and climate policies. With this knowledge, the project aims to support policymakers worldwide in creating roadmaps and efficient policies for achieving the goals set forth in the Paris Agreement.
