IEA EBC Annex 78 - Supplementing Ventilation with Gas-phase Air Cleaning, Implementation and Energy Implications
The IEA EBC Annex 78 (Supplementing Ventilation with Gas-phase Air Cleaning, Implementation and Energy Implications) aims to further research into the energy benefits of gas-phase air cleaners, which are considered to be a partial substitute for ventilation, so that it can be studied how to reduce the amount of ventilation while improving indoor air quality.

In addition, the project aims to bring together researchers and industry and design a test method for air cleaners, taking into account perceived air quality and substances present in indoor air.
