While efforts have been undertaken to achieve the EU’s climate targets in recent years as a result of a vast array of policy and market initiatives, substantial improvements are still required in order to meet the 1.5°c temperature limit of the Paris Agreement. Moreover, recent geopolitical, macroeconomic and environmental events indicate that much more progress is needed urgently.
DeliverEEM aims to respond to this challenge by further scaling up and accelerating the allocation of private finance to energy efficiency investment through an innovative, integrated Energy Efficient Mortgage (EEM) ecosystem, the foundations of which were laid down under the EU-funded Energy Efficient Mortgages Initiative (EEMI).
