This review focuses on BACS impacts in office buildings, emphasising improved indoor environmental quality and real-time interaction with occupants. Benefits include heightened productivity, reduced sick leave, and lower absenteeism rates. Offices are crucial due to their impact on labor costs. The review establishes a comprehensive evaluation approach for BACS, promoting innovative business cases. Quantitative relationships between indoor environment factors and benefits are explored, highlighting the potential for substantial improvements in building performance and user well-being.
