The DOMUS program

The DOMUS program supports residential energy rehabilitation with tailored services, leveraging local expertise, digital tools, and diverse funding to promote sustainable building decarbonisation.

Integrated Home Renovation Services (IHRS) help reduce the EU’s building-related CO2 emissions. Success stories, from Hungary to Spain, showcase trust-building, tailored support, and financial solutions for sustainable renovations.

The DOMUS program, developed by Fundació Europace, promotes building decarbonisation and energy transition through innovative, people-centric approaches.

Piloted in Olot, Spain, in 2021 and now active in 40+ locations, DOMUS focuses on the residential sector, particularly social housing and vulnerable populations. Its IHRS offices provide tailored energy rehabilitation services, including technical advice, administrative support, and guidance on funding and subsidies.

Services span the entire customer journey—from energy audits to post-renovation support—leveraging local professionals, digital tools, and social marketing. Funded through diverse sources like public subsidies and contractor contributions, DOMUS ensures scalability and plans future revenue generation to enhance sustainability.
