Integrated Home Renovation Services (IHRS) help reduce the EU’s building-related CO2 emissions. Success stories, from Hungary to Spain, showcase trust-building, tailored support, and financial solutions for sustainable renovations.

Electric Ireland Superhomes, established in 2021 as a joint venture between the Electricity Supply Board and the Tipperary Energy Agency, became an SEAI-registered one-stop shop in 2022.

It aims to promote energy-efficient home renovations across Ireland, focusing on deep retrofits to reduce energy use and carbon emissions.

Offering end-to-end services, including energy audits, project management, and financing, it supports homeowners, public authorities, and housing bodies, with over 900 homes retrofitted.

Funded through professional fees, capital investments, and grants from local authorities, the EU, ELENA, and Horizon 2020, it aligns with Ireland’s Climate Action Plan to upgrade 500,000 homes by 2030.
