Energy Technology: perspectives for 2023 by IEA

Editorial Team

Covid-19, geopolitical instability, soaring energy and material prices are affecting the pace of the energy transition. The report explores risks and opportunities for the scaling up of clean energy technologies (e.g. solar panels, wind turbines, heat pumps, etc.) in the years to come, under the lens of energy security, resilience and sustainability. It can work as a global guidance for industries in clean technologies.

The analysis highlights that the global market for key mass-manufactured clean energy technologies will be worth around USD 650 billion a year by 2030 if countries worldwide fully implement their energy and climate promises.
