The updated EU Industrial Strategy is calling for a swift green and digital transformation of the construction ecosystem. In order to reach this goal, concrete and actionable plans (transition pathways) have to be developed. The European Commission and Member States have launched many initiatives to foster this transition, such as the Renovation Wave, the New European Bauhaus, the recast of the EPBD, etc. Hence, many targets have been set for the construction industry in the future, but it is still not clear how the construction ecosystem should adapt and evolve to deliver these targets.

For this reason, the European Commission and the EU´s Industrial Forum have developed a plan for the transition of the construction ecosystem.
