The Committee of the Regions has published a Handbook that provides targeted guidance on financial aid and technical assistance for local and regional authorities who are responsible for the implementation of the European Green Deal.

In particular, the Handbook provides a step-by-step guidance and it is taylored to each local context, such as urban, rural, mountains, coastal. The Handbook also presents best practices which describe how to implement and adapt based on specific contexts.

The Handbook has been prepared for all Member States based on their characteristics. For example, some guidance is about "improving thermal insulation", "Green roofs", etc.
