The Referee project has produced an infographic to present the multiple benefits of energy efficiency. First of all, they emphasise the importance of investing in energy efficiency to overcome energy crisis. Energy efficiency measures refer to reducing the energy consumption on a daily basis. Currently, most of the EU existing buildings are inefficient, due for example by inefficient building insulation, to old heating systems which are still run by fossil fuel.

In general energy efficiency measure can bring: energy saving, decrease in GHG emissions, better energy security, lower energy prices, better air quality, and more.
