The 2024 report on the Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET Plan) emphasizes its role in coordinating EU and national R&I efforts to develop cost-effective, clean energy technologies for Europe’s green and digital transition. 

The SET Plan was revised to align with evolving European energy policies, gaining legal support under the Net-Zero Industry Act. This legal backing aims to enhance Europe's leadership in low-carbon technologies through stronger collaboration among policymakers, industry, academia, research institutes, and investors.
