HARP database
The HARP database in Ireland tracks heating appliance efficiency, requiring new and replacement boilers to meet a 90% minimum efficiency standard since 2011.
The Home Heating Appliance Register of Performance (HARP) database is Ireland’s resource for assessing heating appliance efficiency, supporting Building Energy Rating (BER) assessors in DEAP - Dwelling Energy Assessment Procedure, which is the software and methodology used in Ireland to calculate the BER - evaluations.
Established in 2006, HARP requires product efficiency data for submissions.
Building Regulations since 2011 mandate 90% minimum efficiency for new or replacement gas and oil boilers in homes.
