The V Tower is the tallest residential building in the Czech Republic, standing 30 floors high and housing 130 apartments. Beyond its architectural distinction, it represents a flagship project in sustainable urban energy.
Veolia secured a 15-year contract starting in 2017 for energy supply, operations & maintenance of the heat pumps and heat source investments. The building offers a wide range of new technologies, such as the use of a heat pump solution extracting heat from the low-potential heat of the drinking water supply line for heating, cooling and hot water. In the second phase of the project, the use of heat from the sewer line with the help of the heat pump was introduced.
Currently, 43% of the building's heat demand is supplied by the heat pump, in combination with 57% of the heat is supplied by the district heating network.
