Exploring Positive Energy District Development – Learning from the Cities4PEDs 2-year research
Presential
The goal of this online workshop is to discuss the preliminary results of the Cities4PED with practitioners developing Positive Energy Districts to refine and validate the project’s results. The session will present city instruments as well as neighbourhood dynamics. Analysis framework, methods, tactics, tools & practices to achieve co-ownership and inclusive PED-development will be debated, based on different PED case studies.
Cities4PEDs, a two-year research project funded by JPI Urban Europe, will present the preliminary results of its research on Positive Energy Districts (PED). For two years, the cities of Brussels, Vienna and Stockholm collaborate with experts from research, innovation and citizen participation.
They jointly investigate how cities can adapt and use their planning and implementation instruments so that urban development results in neighbourhoods that produce more energy than they consume.
The detailed agenda of the session will be published in September. Don’t forget to save the slot in your agenda!
