The new Funding scheme for District Heating in Germany (BEW): a blueprint for Europe?

Presential
On 15 September the new funding scheme BEW (Bundesförderung für effiziente Wärmenetze) for District Heating entered into force. The webinar will address the following questions: What opportunities for District Heating to grow in the German market? Could the new scheme be a blueprint for other markets?

This scheme will support Germany’s efforts to reach its climate goal. It also arrives in a context of energy crisis when Germany needs to phase out individual gas and oil boilers that still make 75% of its heat market.

This new scheme has a great relevance for the whole District Heating sector, as it is the first support scheme for DH approved by the Commission in the light of the new Guidelines on State aid for climate, environmental protection and energy (CEEAG).
