RENOVERTY, Support service for citizen-led renovation projects

The Support Service for citizen-led renovation projects is partnering with the EU-funded LIFE Programme project RENOVERTY to host a webinar on 21 October 2024 from 10:30 to 12:00 as part of the 'EURegionsWeek close to you'.

Buildings are responsible for over a third of the EU’s greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption. To meet the target of making buildings energy-efficient and carbon-neutral by 2050, this webinar will explore initiatives that empower communities and support households in undertaking energy-efficient renovations, thus reducing both energy demand and emissions.

The session will highlight the experiences of existing and aspiring energy communities as they transition to becoming prosumers and pivotal players in the decarbonisation of urban areas. It will also cover the implementation of building renovation activities that utilise energy communities, particularly in rural settings, showcasing best practices to achieve the Fit-for-55 goals across different regions.

Join our panellists as they delve into the advantages, challenges, and future prospects of energy communities in the EU, and participate in an open discussion with our experts.
