Experts warn that rising temperatures could lead to an additional 38,000 annual deaths worldwide from 2030 to 2050, disproportionately affecting vulnerable populations in poorly designed, inadequately insulated homes. Climate-resilient housing is not just an environmental issue but a matter of social justice, impacting health, safety, and productivity.

Urgent action is required to prioritise sustainable building practices, focusing on energy justice and empowering communities. This approach is not only morally imperative but also practical and feasible, benefiting both people and the environment.
