La Maison du Lac in Savenay, France, a detached single family house, has been renovated to meet high standards of energy efficiency.

Global renovation, adhering to the principles of the circular economy and the 3Rs - reuse, re-employment, and recycling - boasts a carbon footprint roughly 20 times smaller than that of demolition and subsequent reconstruction.
