Giulia Leghissa

There is a global need to build two billion additional homes over the next 75 years. Hence, both the housing and climate crisis have to be tackled. In this context, affordable and sustainable housing assume even more importance as a solution to overcome these global issues.

Moreover, human vulnerability is heightened by devastating climate change effects. Therefore, understanding the ways in which sustainability and affordability can help tackle housing and climate challenges, while also prioritising health, equity and resilience.
