“Holistic Renovation of Modernism Housing” is an initiative coming from the New European Bauhaus and developed in the Baltics. The main concept is to renovate the post-war period prefabricated housing stock. These type of buildings are energy inefficient, are no more aesthetically attractive and do not respond to residents´ needs.
This initiative aims to complement the governmental renovation programs, relating to insulation and energy efficiency, with a model/methodology which would involve residents and improve the building´s spaces while preserving a homogeneous architecture.
