Semi-automation solutions for façades

In face of the rising energy demand, there is the need to reduce energy consumption in residential building. One of the ways is to add façade modules with renewable energy sources. The H2020 project ENSNARE introduces semi-automation through prefabricated façade modules and innovative building data acquisition techniques.

The paper explores the issue of the layout, that needs to be drawn and adjusted during different phases of the project resulting time-consuming. Two new solutions are proposed, the first being an automated drafting of the optimised layout of prefabricated modules of the façade and the number of solar panels based on the existing residential building model, and the second the automated adjustment of the layout depending on the phase of the renovation project and the accuracy of the measurements in each step.
