The simulation-based database was developed within the IWG5 Building Implementation Working Group on Energy Efficiency to assist in evaluating renovation options.

This tool includes data on energy consumption, cost analyses, and environmental impact assessments for renovation packages applied to typical European residential and office buildings. 

Effective renovation solutions require expertise and time, as results vary between different buildings. This database supports decision-making and performance assessment, addressing the need for a resource that can generalise across various building types.
