Inspiring demand for sustainable energy skills, by providing clear learning interactions, transparency of upskilling transactions and recognition of qualifications achieved

ARISE revolutionized the recognition of sustainable energy and Building Information Modelling (BIM) skills in the construction sector by developing an innovative, blockchain-based digital platform. Although the original interactive web ecosystem and its live cryptocurrency reward system (CERTcoin) are no longer active or publicly accessible today, the project’s core structural frameworks and pedagogical assets have been fully preserved and remain open-access for the market to support training centers, universities, and professional bodies in their upskilling strategies.

Tangible open-access frameworks and pedagogical assets:

  • BIM-energy competence mapping matrix: A highly detailed, open-access classification database that maps out over 200 distinct technical tasks, subtasks, and Units of Learning Outcomes (ULOs) required for digital and energy-efficient construction. It serves as a structural blueprint used by vocational schools to design new training curricula.
  • Modular micro-learning course syllabi: The complete theoretical frameworks and instructional contents designed for bite-sized learning (including BIM Basics, BIM Tools for Energy Efficiency, and thermal insulation). While the gamified e-learning engine is offline, these text-based course outlines remain available as open educational resources for trainers.
  • Life-Cycle skills maturity diagnostic model: A multi-role methodological framework designed for four distinct building sector profiles (designers, contractors, clients, and public administrators). It provides a structured step-by-step audit blueprint to evaluate an organization’s digital maturity across a building's lifecycle.
  • CPD credit-action recognition protocols: A complete, documented methodology created to convert task-based training hours into official Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points, offering public authorities and professional orders a ready-to-use replication model for skills mobility across Europe.
