New social and affordable housing in Hanover lended by EIB
The European Investment Bank (EIB), backed by the new InvestEU programme, is lending €60 million to the municipal housing provider hanova to build affordable and social housing. These new buildings will be energy performant and the project will be aligned with the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.

How Zurich is becoming net zero by 2040
Zurich´s citizens have voted for Zurich to become net zero by 2040. This includes reducing indirect GHG emissions by 30% per inhabitant by 2040 compared to 1990. Concerning the building sector, the city aims to use sustainable construction materials, reusing existing components and recycling concrete.

Efficiency House Plus conformant Extension of Primary School
Due to increasing pupil numbers and structural change, the Municipality of Giebelstadt in Germany decided to add an extension building to the existing main building of the Giebelstadt Primary School. The new building provides space for the after-school programme and was built conformant with the Efficiency House Plus standard.
