Due to increasing pupil numbers and structural change, the Municipality of Giebelstadt in Germany decided to add an extension building to the existing main building of the Giebelstadt Primary School. The new building provides space for the after-school programme and was built conformant with the Efficiency House Plus standard.
On 16th September 2022, the e-SAFE and ProGETonE projects will organize a cluster event in Athens. As e-SAFE, ProGETonE is a H2020 project that address deep energy renovation strategies combined with seismic strengthening approaches; however, ProGETonE is at its conclusion, while e-SAFE will start soon the renovation process in its real pilot in Catania.
How can digitalisation and industrialisation accelerate deep renovation in the building industry? Prefabricated technologies have theoretically high potentials, but stakeholders are still skeptical in adopting them. More and more projects are now proving that these technologies can lead to many advantages in terms of time and costs.

On 14th of September, ECOFACT will be hosting a webinar to provide update on the progress of the project platform from the period of Month 1 to Month 24.
This workshop will focus on improving energy efficiency of European buildings through interventions across the whole value chain, and the mobilisation of all sectors – government, private enterprises, research/academia and civic society. It aims to highlight the common and complementary insights and solutions contributed by five related projects, effectively and reliably leading to high performance, deep renovations.
