As the European Union advances towards its goal of attaining climate neutrality by 2050, the need for a deep economic transformation to avoid social and regional disparities is critical to achieve a green, fair and equitable energy transition for all. This makes energy efficiency and the alleviation of energy poverty central to this process, for which gaps in knowledge and practice remain, despite recent scientific and policy efforts.

The event will explore how energy efficiency policies can be more effectively designed and implemented using quantification tools and approaches. These tools and approaches not only evaluate the effectiveness of energy efficiency measures but also provide valuable insights during the policy design process, guiding the allocation of incentives and offering data-driven forecasts.

By coming together for this occasion, the four projects RENOVERTY, ODYSSEE-MURE, INHERIT and SEED-MICAT will showcase their recent results and present insights on the use of quantification tools and methodologies towards the design and implementation of tailored policies. The webinar will also provide the opportunity to discuss the implications of these results and approaches for policymakers and stakeholders, highlighting the importance of tailored policies and targeted interventions to address energy efficiency and/ or energy poverty in unique contexts.
