At the 'Green Transition in Construction' conference, which took place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia on September 11, 2024, a representative from the Institute for Innovation and Development of the University of Ljubljana (IRI UL) discussed the need to renovate 3% of building stock annually, though current rates are below 1.2%.

They highlighted material cycling and the industrialisation of renovation using examples like INFINITE and Drive0

A representative from MOPE addressed future regulations for zero-emission buildings, updating energy performance certificates, and simplifying decision-making with infographics.

Smart readiness indicators were discussed but won’t be mandatory initially. Challenges in organising renovations with dispersed ownership were also mentioned, along with efforts to involve communities through applied anthropological research and a new renovation platform.
