The UK government ha supported citizens through grants that cover the full cost of installing air source heat pumps in Victorian homes. For example, previously relying on an expensive liquefied petroleum gas combination boiler, one of those houses, once rated EPC F, now boasts improved insulation and lower energy costs. Another homeowner reports overall happiness with his 1962 home's heat pump, emphasising its comfort and efficiency.

The Nesta report challenges misconceptions that heat pumps are only suitable for newer homes, revealing 83% satisfaction among users in older properties.
