LIFE call 2022 open: New funding opportunities for the building sector
LIFE Clean Energy Transition 2022 (CET) Call is open for Proposals. Proposals will be accepted until 16 November 2022. This sub-programme aims at facilitating the transition toward an energy-efficient, renewable energy-based, climate-neutral and -resilient economy by funding coordination and support actions across Europe. It will contribute to the implementation of the energy-related actions of the Green Deal, including the ‘Renovation wave’ initiative for the building sector.

Built by Nature Accelerator Fund awards major timber perception research grant
As a response to the need to accelerate the timber building transformation in Europe, Built by Nature, a network and grant-making organisation has announced an Accelerator Fund grant in Italy. This initiative will be coordinated by EIT Climate-KIC and will establish a prototype building in Milano Innovation District (MIND).

High school in Romania turned into nearly-zero energy building
One of the largest public schools in Romania has been renovated to become a nearly-zero energy building (NZEB). This has allowed a 60% reduction of energy consumption and most of consumed energy can be produced on site from photovoltaic and thermal panels.
