Reboot BUILD UP Skills Austria
ReBUSk project worked to revitalize the national construction sector's capacity for energy-efficient renovations by updating the BUILD UP Skills roadmap for Austria. The initiative successfully fostered strong partnerships between educational institutions and industry leaders to map critical deficiencies in green skills. For professionals and educators today, the project’s legacy lies in its endorsed strategic action plan, offering a clear framework to launch modern, specialized training programs for the national workforce.
Dedicated to stimulate demand for sustainable energy skills in the construction sector
BUSLeague project tackled the demand for an energy-skilled workforce by developing a publicly available cross-craft qualification framework (comprising 98 tasks and 92 learning outcomes), that remains accessible today for shaping new training programs. During its execution, the project successfully upskilled over 5,600 individuals, including retail staff and installers, while securing concrete commitments to integrate energy skills into public procurement. The project provides open access to a vast compilation of tailored curricula, e-tools, and handbooks, which continue to be utilized by partnered training centers across Europe.
HEAT PUMPS SKILLS FOR NZEB CONSTRUCTION
HP4ALL focused on developing the specialized skills required across the entire heat pump value chain, to ensure high-quality installations and optimal energy performance. By creating a standardized Competency Framework and a comprehensive digital Knowledge Hub, the initiative successfully trained and upskilled technical professionals across EU. The project effectively bridged the gap between supply and demand, equipping installers with advanced technical competencies while empowering end-users to recognize and request highly skilled workmanship.
