The latest ECB climate stress test has showed that banks are at risk of incurring into insolvencies from consumers who are already hit by high energy prices. Hence, banks need to unlock finances to help consumers renovate their homes and make them more energy efficient.

In the QualDeEPC project, the Energy Agency of Plovdiv (EAP) valuably contributes to developing a better understanding of opportunities for energy savings and energy generation in both residential and public buildings. 

Case study

We are glad to present our GET.onE.app, a new User Interface application for complex BIM projects developed within ProGETonE project, an H2020 funded project about deep energy renovation of residential buildings with seismic strengthening approaches.

Tool

This case study presents the renovation of a building listed for preservation. The renovation process of the historic building aims at preserving as much as possibile its building fabric and this can be seen by the exposed beams on the ground floor as well as the load-bearing beams or the partially exposed natural stone façade in the interior.

Two case studies in Spain have been used as Living Labs to demonstrate the results of the BIM4Ren project in real renovation process of residential building pursuing different purposes. All have been energy retrofitted from 2019 to 2022 by the contractor company specialised in renovation and BIM4ren consortium member, Kursaal Group.

The medieval city of Leuven in Belgium has adopted an ambitious transition programme to address the climate emergency. Its goal is to lower CO2 emissions by 67% by 2030 and to achieve neutrality by 2050. To do so, Leuven 2030, an NGO based on a shared governance model between local authorities, businesses, knowledge institutions and civil society organisations, has agreed on a roadmap that aims to ensure an ambitious and fair transition.
