EXPERT TALKS series is an initiative from the BUILD UP portal. In the form of face-to-face interviews, experts from all around Europe and covering the field of Energy Efficiency in buildings from different perspectives share their views, experience and expertise with BUILD UP audience. BUILDING CONVERSATIONS UP WITH... Julie Kjestrup, President of EuroACE and Vice-Chair of the Renovate Europe Campaign. Head of Policy and Thought Leadership, EU and Global at VELUX.
Julie Kjestrup has been the President of EuroACE since January 2023 and the Vice-Chair of the Renovate Europe Campaign since January 2022. She is also Head of Policy and Thought Leadership for VELUX. Prior to that, she was Head of EU Affairs and interim Global Head of Public Affairs and Sustainability at Danfoss. Julie also headed the Brussels Energy and Environment practice at APCO Worldwide, a global public affairs and strategic communication agency. Julie has extensive experience working on all aspects of advocacy and stakeholder engagement and has witnessed first-hand, and contributed to, the rise of energy efficiency on the European policy agenda over the past few years.

The PLURAL project successfully performed fire testing of the innovative smart window with heat harvesting capacity: the research tests were performed at the National technical university of Athens premises with the presence of BGTec, the window developer, and AMS, the SmartWall prefabricated kit manufacturer that integrates the smart window.
