Projects in Croatia
  • CRO skills – rebooting the National Platform and Roadmap

CRO skills RELOAD focused on accelerating energy-efficient building renovations in Croatia by rebooting its national skills framework and roadmap. The project successfully gathered key industry players to pinpoint critical deficiencies in green and digital construction competencies. As a practical legacy for the sector today, the project offers a comprehensive, stakeholder-endorsed action plan that local training centers can use to rapidly deploy relevant upskilling courses for the workforce.

  • Enhancing Market Readiness for nZEB Implementation

nZEB Ready aimed to drive the implementation of nearly Zero-Energy Buildings (nZEB) by directly addressing the market's need for highly qualified professionals and reliable technology solutions. The initiative successfully trained a critical mass of workers, spanning from specialized designers and engineers to on-site installers, while actively engaging public authorities to recognize and demand these advanced energy skills in their projects. As a practical resource for experts seeking to upskill today, the project provides a comprehensive set of ready-to-use training modules and technical guidelines specifically tailored for the design, construction, and certification of high-performance nZEBs.

  • Stimulate demand for sustainable energy skills with circularity as a driver and multifunctional green use of roofs, façades and interior elements as focus

BUS-GoCircular aimed to overcome the challenges of implementing circular economy practices in the construction sector by developing a comprehensive, cross-craft qualification framework focused entirely on circular skills. The project successfully equipped hundreds of professionals and SMEs with essential green competencies through targeted mentoring and practical, hands-on training programs. The project offers open-access "Train-the-Trainer" materials, practical toolkits, and modular training units specifically designed to help workers integrate circularity into everyday building and renovation projects.

  • The nZEB Roadshow

nZEB Roadshow utilized innovative mobile exhibition pavilions as active on-site training hubs to tackle the critical skills gap in the construction sector. Through practical demonstrations of nZEB technologies and specialized capacity-building events, the initiative directly trained hundreds of building professionals, designers, and craftspeople. As a result, the project upgraded the workforce's practical competencies in crucial areas like airtightness, ventilation, and insulation, directly connecting newly upskilled professionals with emerging market opportunities.
